All businesses and non-profit organizations in the area are invited to Michigan Technological University's campus Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. This is a great opportunity for you, a local business owner, to get in contact with some of the most influential shoppers and volunteers in the area, Michigan Tech students! Studies done in the Houghton area show college students make up a very large percentage of sales and services compared to the other groups in the Keweenaw.
 Do Michigan Tech students make up a large percentage of sales and services at your business? Do they know you exist? Do they know what you have to offer? Don’t take a chance. You have the opportunity to reach over 6,000 students. That means more sales for businesses and more volunteers for not-for-profit organizations. Make sure those at Michigan Tech know about you and what you have to offer.
Register and come prepared with information, materials, offers, deals, and handouts to let the college students know you are interested in their patronage. Registration deadline is Wednesday, August 19, 2009.
Registration fee for this year’s Expo is $10.00, which is due by Wednesday, August 19 (please make checks payable to Michigan Tech). Non-profit organizations will be exempt from this registration fee. Limited parking of one vehicle per business will be provided--additional vehicles will be required to find their own parking.
